Invoice Insight Federal Seminar Series-FOSE Lunch (for select guests)
Topic: 2006--Preparing for the Networx Transition
In conjunction with FOSE (March 7 - March 9), Dave Spofford, Invoice Insight Founder and President will be hosting a round table/lunch at the Embassy Suites - Convention Center Hotel on Wednesday, March 8 from 10:00am to 12:30pm. The hotel is located two blocks from the Convention Center allowing ample time for those who desire to hear John Chambers, President and CEO of Cisco Systems, deliver his 1:00pm keynote address.
With awards due later in 2006 for the 10 year, 20 billion dollar Networx contract, federal organizations will soon be facing a massive transition effort to the new contract. Among the challenges:
- Ensuring that inventory is accurate and up-to-date
- Overseeing a smooth transference of inventory and services to the new contract
- Guarding against service interruption during the transition period
- Preventing erroneous billing as services are moved from FTS2001 to Networx
- Monitoring bills to ensure that they reflect the new contract rates
One significant development since the previous contract cycle is the introduction and maturation of TEM-telecommunications expense management. It offers a high impact approach to the coming Networx transition that will effectively ease the process and hold down costs. Dave Spofford will host and lead a discussion on advances in TEM technology and how to use it to advantage during the move to Networx.
